Senior Data Architect

Role Overview :

As a Senior Data Architect, you will serve as the strategic backbone of our data engineering initiatives, designing scalable, high-performance data ecosystems that drive critical business intelligence. You will operate at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, collaborating closely with cross-functional product teams, data engineers, and senior stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust data architectures.

By spearheading the design of modern data platforms, you will directly influence how the organization leverages data to gain competitive advantages, ensuring that our infrastructure remains agile, secure, and capable of supporting rapid business growth in a high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise-grade data warehouses and data lakes to ensure seamless data accessibility and high availability for downstream analytics.

- Develop sophisticated data models that align with business domains, facilitating consistent reporting and advanced analytics across the organization.

- Orchestrate complex ETL/ELT pipelines using modern cloud-native technologies to optimize data ingestion, transformation, and delivery workflows.

- Implement comprehensive data governance frameworks and Master Data Management strategies to maintain high data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

- Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance within an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure timely delivery of high-impact data projects.

- Mentor junior engineering talent and foster a culture of technical excellence, ensuring best practices in SQL development and database optimization are consistently applied.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms using Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift, with a focus on cost-efficiency and performance.

- Advanced proficiency in SQL and stored procedure development, with a deep understanding of query optimization and database performance tuning in large-scale environments.

- Proven ability to translate abstract business challenges into concrete technical roadmaps, effectively communicating complex architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong background in establishing data governance policies and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to ensure a single source of truth across the enterprise.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Gurugram, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to solving architectural bottlenecks.

- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing projects within Agile and Scrum frameworks to meet aggressive business timelines.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field, supported by 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in data architecture and engineering roles.
