Ideagen - Senior BI Engineer - ETL Pipelines

Role Overview :

As a Senior BI Engineer based in Hyderabad, you will serve as the technical backbone of our data intelligence initiatives, transforming complex raw data into actionable strategic insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, business analysts, and senior stakeholders, to design and maintain robust end-to-end BI solutions.

Your day-to-day will involve architecting scalable ETL pipelines, optimizing data models, and delivering high-impact visualizations that drive critical business decisions. By ensuring data integrity and accessibility, you will directly influence our operational efficiency and help leadership navigate market trends with precision and confidence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement complex ETL processes using T-SQL and SSIS to ensure seamless data integration across disparate enterprise systems for improved reporting accuracy.

- Develop and optimize multidimensional and tabular models in SSAS to provide high-performance data structures that support complex business logic and analytical queries.

- Create sophisticated, interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI that translate technical metrics into clear visual narratives for executive stakeholders.

- Orchestrate and monitor automated data workflows using Azure Data Factory to enhance system reliability and reduce manual intervention in data pipeline management.

- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring that BI solutions directly address evolving organizational needs.

- Conduct rigorous performance tuning on SQL databases and reporting layers to minimize latency and provide a seamless user experience for data consumers.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building end-to-end BI ecosystems using the Microsoft SQL Server stack, including advanced T-SQL scripting and performance optimization.

- Proven ability to design and deploy scalable data integration solutions using SSIS and Azure Data Factory within cloud-based or hybrid environments.

- Strong proficiency in semantic modeling via SSAS and visual storytelling through Power BI, with a focus on creating intuitive user experiences.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical data engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders.

- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in Hyderabad.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field, supported by 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and business intelligence.
