Job description
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies. Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and practices.
- Project Coordination: Oversee the progress of cybersecurity projects, including incident response, detection engineering, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) deployment and POCs, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Remove Roadblocks: Identify and address any impediments that may hinder the teams progress. Work with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and remove obstacles.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the cybersecurity team and stakeholders. Ensure clear and transparent communication of project status, risks, and issues.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the cybersecurity team. Encourage knowledge sharing and support team members in achieving their goals.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess risks associated with cybersecurity projects. Work with the team to develop mitigation strategies and ensure that risks are addressed proactively.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations. Ensure that the cybersecurity solutions meet the needs of the organization.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project delivery, team performance, and overall project health.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement practices within the team by facilitating retrospectives and encouraging experimentation with new processes and tools.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in cybersecurity or a related field. Familiarity with incident response, detection engineering, EDR deployment, and other cybersecurity operations is highly desirable.
- Certification: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
- Agile Knowledge: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience in applying these practices to cybersecurity projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including incident response, EDR, beaconing detection, and detection engineering processes.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate a team.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
- Experience or good knowledge in managing projects related to SOC (Security Operations Center) functions.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies used in cybersecurity, such as SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence platforms, and automation tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, MITRE Telecommunication&CK).
