IPDRG Coder

Description

We are seeking an experienced IPDRG Coder to join our healthcare team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, specifically with IPDRG, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate coding of patient records to facilitate proper billing and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign appropriate IPDRG codes based on clinical documentation and coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy.
• Stay updated with the latest coding regulations and guidelines.
• Participate in quality assurance audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare reports and summaries related to coding activities and performance.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in IPDRG coding.
• Proficient understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex medical records.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Certifications such as CPC, CCS, or COC are highly desirable.
