Safety – Officer/ Ass. Manager/ Deputy Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

The Associate Manager-Safety will have the following key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and national regulations
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks
• Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions
• Oversee safety training programs for all employees and contractors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety compliance in all operational activities
• Provide leadership and guidance to the safety team, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability
• Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend continuous improvements to the safety management system.

Experience

• 10-12 years of experience in the Power industry
• Factory Act knowledge - Safety.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing safety protocols and procedures
• Proven track record of conducting risk assessments and incident investigations
• Experience in overseeing safety compliance and training programs
• Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in B.tech / B.E (Regular) and Diploma in Safety Management / Fire & safety.

Technical Skills

• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and standards in the Power industry
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
• Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Knowledge of safety management systems and best practices
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and safety management software
