Software Engineer (Apptio)

Role Impact:

In this role, you will be working with the ITFM Reporting Governance team, focusing on maintaining and updating reports related to the IT portfolio, as well as Demand-Supply Time tracking. The role involves using tools like Apptio to ensure accurate and efficient reporting of financial and operational data across the IT portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Apptio Software Administration: Conduct research and administer changes and updates to Apptio software, ensuring reports are accurate and aligned with business needs.
• SQL and PL/SQL Development: Write SQL queries and develop PL/SQL packages to gather and manipulate data for reporting.
• Data Analysis: Handle large data sets, conduct data analysis, and manipulate data effectively using Excel formulas (e.g., Pivot Tables) for reporting and insights.
• Financial Reporting: Perform financial month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting using Apptio software, ensuring financial accuracy and alignment with business goals.
• Collaboration with Onshore Teams: Work with Onshore teams for requirements gathering, ensuring that all necessary information is captured and the process runs smoothly.
• Testing and Issue Reporting: Develop test cases, conduct testing, and report issues to management as part of the process improvement cycle.

Qualifications:

Experience & Education:

• 4-5 years of experience working with the Apptio Cost Transparency module (including allocation strategies, modeling, and custom reports/dashboard creation).
• 2-3 years of experience with Apptio Datalink, especially for data ingress/egress between upstream and downstream systems.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of tech services terminology.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in SQL queries and PL/SQL.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formula creation and Pivot Tables.
• Apptio software experience, especially with financial month-end-close, budgeting, and forecasting.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Onshore teams, particularly during requirements gathering.
• Strong attention to detail with a clear focus on accuracy in reporting and financial tracking.
