Role Impact:
The Enterprise Network Services team plays a critical role in ensuring the highest level of availability and performance for infrastructure across the enterprise. This includes managing ITSM areas like Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Delivery, as well as participating in large enterprise projects such as Disaster Recovery and Network Modernization. The role demands collaboration across operations, engineering, and architecture teams to both maintain and modernize technology.
Primary Responsibilities:
- 24x7 Network Support: Administer and support all areas of DTCC's enterprise network, including campus, WAN, DMZs, and extranets.
- Technology Implementation & Support: Implement and support new technologies within the network environment.
- Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting efforts with external and internal clients, as well as major incident management teams.
- Project Support: Assist with key projects and deliverables, including pre- and post-implementation testing and planning.
- System Maintenance & Upgrades: Coordinate scheduling and implementation of system maintenance, release updates, hardware upgrades, and new technology deployments in line with change management policies and maintenance windows.
- Performance Monitoring: Execute performance and statistical monitoring, developing procedures and best practices to improve the overall network environment.
- Risk Management: Manage risk across the environment, ensuring changes and maintenance are scheduled and executed appropriately.
- Incident Management: Address system events or major incidents urgently and escalate as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for baseline standards, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with emerging industry standards.
- Security & Testing: Support DDoS and penetration testing efforts, along with any required remediation.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education:
- 3+ years of related experience in network administration and support.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Networking skills in a global enterprise environment, focusing on Layer 2 & 3, DNS, Load Balancing, and security.
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Solid foundation in networking software and hardware, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.
- Experience with F5 load balancers, Infoblox DNS, and Palo Alto Firewalls (preferred).
- Hands-on experience managing ITSM tickets (incident, change, problem management)—preferably with ServiceNow (SNOW).
- CCNA Certification or equivalent knowledge is preferred.
- Experience working in a global enterprise environment, especially in the financial services industry, is a plus.
- TCP/IP protocol stack knowledge and ability to analyze packet captures.
