Software Engineer

Position: Jira Developer

Company: DTCC

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite – Tuesdays, Wednesdays + 1 flexible day)

Experience Required: 6+ years in related IT roles, 4+ years as a Jira Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Jira configurations using Groovy scripting.
• Create custom workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and other configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into Jira solutions.
• Manage Jira enhancements and automations via source control.
• Perform troubleshooting, code reviews, documentation, and testing.
• Stay updated on Jira/Data Center features and improvements.

Required Skills & Technologies:

• Jira (Data Center configuration and API)
• ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting
• Jira SDK, plugin development (Data Center & Cloud)
• REST APIs and Jira Services integration
• CI/CD tools
• Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodologies
• Platforms: Linux (server), Windows (desktop)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and project lifecycle phases
