Design Engineer

What are we looking for We are seeking a proactive and skilled Graduate Engineer with a strong background in design and engineering within the steel strip processing industry. The ideal candidate will be adept at thermal calculations, 3D modeling, and possess excellent leadership skills to guide a team of draughtsmen while ensuring the highest quality of engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control a group of draughtsmen.
• Checking drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure correctness of all prepared documents.
• Preparation of Drawings and BOMs.
• Preparation of models using 3D software like AutoDesk Inventor.
• Generating P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and Data Sheets as per requirements.
• Making Design calculations.
• Selection of bought-out components.
• Coordination with other departments.
• Communication with customers and participation in technical discussions with customers.
• Coordination with manufacturing for discrepancies and deviations.
• Coordination with Erection and Commissioning for site support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• First Class Engineering Graduate in Mechanical / Industrial / Production from a reputed university.
• Fluency in thermal calculation and thermal design of equipment.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings, and 3D modeling.
• Must have thorough experience in Auto CAD, Autodesk Inventor / SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of Ansys / FEA will be an added advantage.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of drawings.
• Good knowledge of process equipment related to Mechanical / thermal systems.
• Process knowledge of Strip processing lines, galvanizing, Pickling & ARP will be preferred.
