Technical Publication Engineer

What are we looking for

We are looking for a precise and organized Technical Publication Engineer to define, create, and manage comprehensive technical documentation for our range of Electrolysers. This role requires expertise in technical writing, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively across various internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely publication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and/or implement business rules to develop Technical Publications for a range of Electrolysers.
• Create data modules, validate them, and then compile and publish them in accordance with the S1000D process.
• Establish and disseminate technical specification requirements as applicable to technical documentation (User Manuals, Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Part Catalogue, etc.).
• Monitor technical publication inputs and activities from subcontractors through to the internal/external teams (Engineering, Product Support, Prime Contractor, End Client, etc.).
• Verify and validate the technical documentation with the various program stakeholders.
• Monitor changes, corrections, and amendments to the respective technical documents.
• Ensure the necessary data to support both internal and external JCH2 / IPS customer program milestones.
• Coordinate with program stakeholders involved in these activities, both internally and externally.
• Oversee all aspects of technical documentation creation, including team member review, verification, and production release.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups representing Technical Publications throughout the company when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years experience in creating technical documentation from complex software and hardware or firmware products.
• Functional knowledge of S1000D processes is a plus.
• Proficient in English written, knowledge of Simplified Technical English (STE).
• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
• Good facilitator, team spirit, organized, rigorous, available, motivated by achievement, and have a sense of initiative.
• The spirit of synthesis in developing the data module is required.
• Occasional travel and fieldwork, including international travel, to be expected.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry would be considered advantageous.
