GOVERNMENT RELATIONS MANAGER

Description

The Government Relations Manager will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with government officials and agencies to advocate for the organization's interests and influence public policy in favor of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with government officials and stakeholders to advocate for the organization's interests.
• Monitor and analyze legislation and regulatory developments relevant to the organization.
• Prepare reports and position papers on government policies and their impact on the organization.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on government relations strategies.
• Represent the organization at public hearings, meetings, and conferences with government entities.
• Provide strategic advice to senior management regarding government relations initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related field.
• 2-10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or advocacy roles.
• Strong understanding of the Indian political landscape and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex legislation and policy issues.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision-makers.
• Experience in developing and implementing advocacy strategies.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with policy analysis tools.
