Salesforce Developer - Apex/Visual Force

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Developer / Senior Developer / Tech Lead with strong expertise in Salesforce platform development, administration, and integrations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge, hands-on coding experience, and the ability to work closely with clients and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Salesforce Development & Administration :

- Perform Salesforce administration, configuration, customization, and development

- Develop solutions using Apex, Triggers, Visualforce, and SOQL

- Create and maintain reports and dashboards

- Implement workflows, validation rules, and approval processes

- Manage user setup, roles, profiles, and security configurations

Integration & Data Management :

- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP web services

- Work with Force.com Bulk API and Metadata API

- Perform data migration and transformation using Apex Data Loader and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica)

- Handle database development including SQL/PL-SQL, schemas, and stored procedures

Deployment & Testing :

- Manage deployments using Change Sets, Eclipse, or ANT migration tools

- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues

- Develop and execute unit test classes following best practices (including positive and negative scenarios)

- Prepare test data and support unit, integration, and production testing

Solution Design & Collaboration :

- Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

- Analyze and recommend multiple design approaches and best practices

- Create and maintain technical design documents and configuration documentation

Production Support :

- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues

- Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability

Leadership Responsibilities (For Senior/Tech Lead Roles) :

- Lead and manage a team of developers

- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding best practices

- Promote reusable components and improve team efficiency

- Provide technical guidance to team members and stakeholders

Required Skills :

Salesforce Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Triggers, Visualforce

- Proficiency in SOQL and JavaScript

- Understanding of Apex best practices and limitations

- Experience with reports, dashboards, workflows, and validation rules

Integration & Tools :

- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations

- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica preferred)

- Familiarity with deployment tools (Change Sets, ANT, Eclipse)

Database & Web Technologies :

- Strong knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL

- Basic understanding of HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, AJAX

- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., jQuery) is a plus

- Exposure to web services and Google APIs is an advantage

Certifications :

- Mandatory : Salesforce Developer Certification (DEV401)

- Highly Preferred : Advanced Developer Certification (DEV501)

- Desirable : Salesforce Admin or Consultant Certifications

Nice to Have :

- Experience in Salesforce mobile development (Salesforce1 / VF Mobile)

- Exposure to Heroku and ngForce

- Experience with integration tools

- Background in Java/.NET technologies
