Experience: 8-10 years
Salary band: Up to 11 LPA

________________________________________________

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to drive the growth and evolution of our crowdfunding and book donation platform. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing growth strategy, platform evolution, donor engagement, strategic partnerships, and innovative campaigns while remaining deeply connected to the children and communities the platform ultimately serves.

The role focuses on building relationships with institutions, corporates, and communities, strengthening platform engagement and sustainability, and ensuring that the needs of underserved communities remain at the heart of our growth and impact.

Originally started as a crowdfunding platform enabling individuals to support book access for children, the platform has evolved to connect donors, institutions, educators, communities, and implementation partners to build reading ecosystems at scale. As we enter our next phase, this leader will reimagine the platform beyond traditional crowdfunding—designing innovative campaigns, forging strategic partnerships, and attracting institutional support while retaining strong, community-driven roots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement the overall growth and engagement strategy for the platform, setting priorities and initiatives that expand its reach, impact, and sustainability.

  • Campaign & Corporate Engagement: Design and execute innovative campaigns that inspire giving, volunteering, and participation. Partner with socially responsible organizations to create employee engagement opportunities, including workplace giving, volunteering, matched giving, and campaign-led initiatives.

  • Network & Pipeline Building: Identify, reach out to, and build relationships with schools, NGOs, library networks, and other partners serving communities with limited access to books. Maintain a strong pipeline of organizations that could benefit from using the platform.

  • Community-Centric Design: Ensure that the voices, needs, and realities of the served communities inform campaign design, partnership development, and platform evolution.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal marketing, programs, technology, and partnerships teams to deliver compelling experiences and align platform growth with organizational priorities.

  • Communication & Monitoring: Develop communication strategies to keep donors, employees, partners, and supporters informed of their impact. Monitor platform performance, supporter engagement, campaign outcomes, and partnership effectiveness to share insights for decision-making.

  • Innovation: Use data, sector trends, and emerging practices to continuously strengthen the platform. Position the platform as a leader for engaging individuals, institutions, employees, and communities in support of children's literacy.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8–10 years of experience in growth marketing, partnerships, social impact, philanthropy, or related fields.
  • Proven experience managing fundraising efforts.
  • Strong understanding of donor engagement, relationship management, and designing campaigns that drive action.
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships and institutional relationships.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build new approaches from the ground up.
  • Deep empathy for children and communities with limited access to books, alongside a passion for joyful reading, education, children's rights, or social impact.
