MonoSpear Technologies - SAP TM Technical Consultant/Senior Developer

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP TM Technical Consultant / Senior SAP TM ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) and modern SAP development technologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable TM solutions, leading technical deliveries, and driving best practices across SAP S/4HANA implementations and enhancements.

This role requires hands-on experience in SAP TM development, integrations, SAP BTP extensibility, and Clean Core principles, along with the ability to mentor junior developers and lead small technical teams.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP TM Development & Solution Design :

- Design, develop, and enhance SAP TM solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments.

- Develop custom applications, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms using ABAP and SAP development frameworks.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions aligned with SAP best practices.

- Support transportation planning, freight order management, charge calculation, execution, and settlement processes.

- Develop applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).

- Create and optimize CDS Views, Behavior Definitions, Service Bindings, and OData Services.

- Build Fiori-enabled services and APIs leveraging SAP's modern development paradigms.

- Ensure adherence to SAP Clean Core and extensibility standards.

Integrations :

- Design and implement integrations between SAP TM and other SAP/non-SAP systems.

- Work extensively with :

1. SAP EWM

2. SAP SD

3. SAP MM

4. SAP BTP Services

5. APIs

6. IDOCs

7. Web Services

8. Event-driven integrations

- Support side-by-side extensions using SAP BTP.

Technical Support & Optimization :

- Perform deep technical debugging and root cause analysis for complex TM processes.

- Troubleshoot issues related to :

1. Transportation Orders (TOR)

2. Freight Settlement Documents (FSD)

3. Transportation Planning

4. Charge Management

5. Execution Processes

- Optimize ABAP programs and integrations for performance and scalability.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Lead a small team of SAP developers and technical consultants.

- Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and quality assurance activities.

- Establish development standards, reusable components, and best practices.

- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience :

Must-Have Skills :

- 810 years of SAP technical development experience.

- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM).

- Advanced ABAP development experience.

- Hands-on experience with :

1. RAP Framework

2. CDS Views

3. OData Services

4. Behavior Definitions

5. Service Bindings

- Experience with SAP BTP and side-by-side extension development.

- Strong TM integration experience with EWM, SD, MM, APIs, and IDOCs.

- Expertise in debugging TM objects and transportation processes.

- Understanding of SAP Clean Core and extensibility concepts.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.

- Knowledge of Event Mesh and integration patterns on SAP BTP.

- Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration projects.

- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and transport management processes.

- SAP TM and/or SAP ABAP certifications.
