Job description

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Support technology budgeting and forecasting processes, including collecting inputs,

consolidating plans, and maintaining budgeting templates and assumptions.

Perform month-end and periodic financial follow-up: actuals vs budget/forecast, variance

analysis, and commentary for leadership reporting.

Manage and reconcile technology spend tracking: invoices, purchase orders, accruals,

commitments, and cost allocations (cost centers/products/platforms).

Maintain cost transparency for run and change spend, including vendor spend views and

allocation models (where applicable).

Produce regular financial dashboards and reports for IT leadership (spend, trends, burn

rates, commitments, forecasting accuracy).

Support investment cases and initiative funding decisions by providing financial analysis

(cost estimates, scenarios, sensitivity inputs, ROI/benefits inputs where relevant).

Support vendor financial governance together with procurement/contract owners:

consumption tracking, indexation checks, renewal cost visibility, and financial risk flags.

Identify cost anomalies and improvement opportunities (e.g., under/over-consumption,

duplicate spend, unused licenses) and propose corrective actions.

Support chargeback/show back (if applicable): maintain allocation rules, validate data,

and explain cost drivers to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with financial controls and processes (approval flows,

documentation, audit readiness, segregation of duties where applicable).

Maintain master data quality related to technology finance (cost centers, GL mappings,

vendor references, portfolio/product mapping).

Contribute to continuous improvement and automation of finance processes and

reporting (standardization, tooling enhancements, improved data pipelines).


Key Competencies & Skills required


Technical:


Data and systems literacy: ERP/finance systems and IT

financial tools (as applicable), plus strong data discipline

(master data, reconciliations)

Financial analysis fundamentals (P&L understanding,

variance analysis, forecasting, accruals/commitments) in IT

background

Budgeting and forecasting processes (planning cycles,

assumptions management, consolidation)

Cost allocation and cost transparency concepts (run vs

change, cost drivers, showback/chargeback awareness)

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning; basic

modelling)

Reporting and dashboard support (PowerPoint for exec

reporting; exposure to Power BI/Tableau is an advantage)

Understanding of procurement and vendor spend mechanics

(POs, invoices, renewals, indexation, consumption metrics)

Previous Experience & Qualifications


Education/Qualification:


Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance, Economics, Business

Administration, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent

experience)


Knowledge & Experience:


3-5+ years of experience as a PMO

Excellent project planning, budget, scoping, costing and scheduling

ability
