Job Description:
Strategic Procurement Leadership:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil and infrastructure projects aligned with organizational goals
- Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and budget adherence across all procurement activities
- Establish long-term sourcing strategies for critical materials (cement, steel, aggregates, etc.)
Vendor Management & Sourcing:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and contractors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers
- Lead vendor negotiations to secure competitive pricing, quality, and timelines
- Develop vendor performance evaluation frameworks
Tendering & Contract Management:
- Oversee end-to-end tendering process including RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluation, and contract finalization
- Ensure transparency, compliance, and governance in procurement processes
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and purchase orders
- Manage contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, and closures
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with civil engineering, project management, and site teams
- Ensure timely availability of materials and services for project execution
- Monitor procurement schedules in line with project timelines
Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets
- Track market trends and price fluctuations to optimize procurement decisions
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
- Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team
- Set KPIs and performance goals for team members
- Drive a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement
