Job Title : Technical Business Analyst Consultant

Role Overview :
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst Consultant with strong expertise in system integrations, data analysis, and payments architecture. The role requires deep involvement in translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, working closely with engineering teams in an agile setup.
Key Responsibilities :
- Elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional & technical requirements (BRD, FRD, API specs, data mappings).
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring clarity in technical execution.
- Design and document end-to-end system workflows, including integration points, data flows, and exception handling.
- Work on API integrations (REST/SOAP), including request/response structures, authentication, and error handling.
- Perform data analysis using SQL, validate data integrity, and support data reconciliation activities.
- Define and maintain data models, schemas, and transformation logic across systems.
- Support payment system flows such as SEPA, Instant Payments, and clearing/settlement processes.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, create user stories, acceptance criteria, and manage backlog grooming.
- Drive UAT, SIT coordination, including test case preparation, defect tracking, and resolution.
- Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams for release planning, deployment validation, and production support.
Mandatory Skills :
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL (complex queries, joins, data validation).
- Solid understanding of API architecture (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, Swagger/OpenAPI specs).
- Experience in system integration, middleware, and microservices-based architecture.
- Exposure to payments domain : SEPA, Instant Payments, clearing & settlement flows.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and version control workflows.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and requirement management tools.
Technical Competencies :
- Understanding of event-driven architecture, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Basic exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and distributed systems.
- Ability to read logs, debug issues, and collaborate on root cause analysis (RCA).
- Experience working with JSON, XML, XSD, and data transformation tools.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with FIS OPF (Open Payment Framework) or similar payment platforms.
- Prior experience in banking/fintech environments.
- Exposure to ISO 20022 messaging standards.
