ETL Developer - Data Modeling

Role Overview :

As a Senior SQL and ETL Developer, you will serve as a technical anchor for our data engineering initiatives, bridging the gap between raw data ingestion and actionable business intelligence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, business analysts, and cloud infrastructure engineers, to design and maintain high-performance data pipelines. Your work will directly influence the reliability of our data warehousing solutions, ensuring that stakeholders have seamless access to accurate, high-quality data to drive critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and maintain complex data models to support enterprise-level data warehousing requirements and ensure optimal query performance.

- Design, develop, and deploy scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native tools to streamline data movement across disparate systems.

- Optimize SQL queries and database schemas to improve system throughput and reduce latency for reporting applications.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring data integrity and alignment with organizational goals.

- Manage cloud-based data environments, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency within AWS or Azure ecosystems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues to maintain high availability and reliability of data services.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in advanced SQL programming, including complex joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning for large-scale databases.

- Proven ability to design and implement robust data models that support evolving business intelligence needs.

- Hands-on experience with cloud-based ETL services such as Azure Data Factory or AWS Glue to orchestrate data workflows.

- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) with a focus on managing data warehousing environments and big data ecosystems.

- Ability to integrate PHP-based applications with backend database systems to support custom data-driven solutions.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

- Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment based in Bangalore, demonstrating adaptability to shifting project priorities.

- Candidates must possess 8 to 14 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering and database development.
