About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 8- 13 years of expertise in Oracle database development, Oracle APEX, REST API development, and enterprise application delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and optimizing mission-critical database-driven applications while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Oracle PL/SQL programming, Oracle APEX development, Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), SQL performance tuning, and API integrations. The candidate will work closely with Product Management, Business Analysts, Architects, and Engineering teams to deliver robust solutions within a product-driven environment.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of database architecture, application integration, system performance optimization, and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities :

Oracle Database Development :

- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize complex Oracle PL/SQL programs.

- Develop and enhance Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Collections, and Database Objects.

- Ensure high-performance, scalable, and maintainable database solutions.

- Participate in database design discussions and architectural decisions.

Oracle APEX Development :

- Design and develop enterprise-grade applications using Oracle APEX.

- Build responsive and user-friendly application interfaces.

- Enhance existing applications and introduce new functionalities.

- Ensure application performance, security, and usability standards are maintained.

API Development & Integrations :

- Develop and expose RESTful APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).

- Design and implement secure integration frameworks between applications and external systems.

- Work extensively with JSON-based data exchange, parsing, validation, and transformation.

- Support API lifecycle management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Performance Optimization :

- Analyze and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL programs, and database performance.

- Utilize Explain Plan, SQL Trace, AWR Reports, and other performance diagnostic tools.

- Identify bottlenecks and implement performance tuning recommendations.

- Improve database efficiency and resource utilization.

Front-End & Application Enhancements :

- Develop interactive application components using AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, and Oracle APEX technologies.

- Support UI enhancements and user experience improvements.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Product Development & Collaboration :

- Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA Teams, and Business Stakeholders.

- Understand end-to-end application architecture and evaluate the impact of code changes across modules.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and release planning activities.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, development best practices, and governance frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8- 13 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Development.

- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL programming.

- Extensive experience with Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, and Advanced SQL.

- Hands-on experience in Oracle APEX Application Development.

- Experience developing REST APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).

- Strong understanding of JSON processing, parsing, and integration mechanisms.

- Expertise in SQL Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.

- Experience with Explain Plan, Trace Files, AWR Reports, and database diagnostics.

- Good knowledge of AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, and front-end integration.

- Strong understanding of database design principles and application architecture.
