Sourcing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, particularly in special processes and heat treatment. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Responsibilities

• Excel and presentation skills to effectively communicate sourcing strategies.
• Read and understand customer specifications to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) specifications to aid in sourcing decisions.
• Manage RFQ flow down with existing approved vendors for special processes and heat treatment requirements.
• Negotiate with suppliers on price, lead time, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), and payment terms to achieve optimal sourcing agreements.
• Identify new sources and execute the selection process to expand the supplier base.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of suppliers to finalize partnerships that meet project requirements.
• Ensure knowledge of special processes and heat treatment specifications is applied in sourcing decisions.
• Engage in technical clarification discussions with stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with project goals.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, particularly in special processes and heat treatment.
• Strong knowledge of special process and heat treatment specifications.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate discussions with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Proven negotiation skills to achieve favorable terms with suppliers.
• Proficiency in Excel and presentation tools to create reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GDT specifications effectively.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and conducting evaluations.
