Pi Square Technologies - Performance Test Engineer - LoadRunner/JMeter

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in performance testing and engineering, with hands-on experience in designing, executing, monitoring, and analyzing performance tests for enterprise applications. You will play a key role in ensuring application scalability, stability, and reliability under varying workloads.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and implement end-to-end performance testing strategies based on business requirements and non-functional requirements (NFRs).

- Design workload models aligned with business SLAs and performance objectives.

- Develop, execute, and monitor performance test scripts using LoadRunner and JMeter.

- Conduct various types of performance testing, including :

1. Load Testing

2. Stress Testing

3. Spike Testing

4. Endurance (Soak) Testing

5. Scalability Testing

- Analyze test results to identify system bottlenecks and performance issues.

- Prepare comprehensive performance test reports with observations, recommendations, and improvement areas.

- Perform defect identification, root cause analysis, and triage with development teams.

- Monitor application performance during testing and support performance tuning initiatives.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet performance and scalability requirements.

Required Skills :

- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.

- Strong expertise in LoadRunner and JMeter for scripting, execution, and monitoring.

- Good understanding of performance metrics, including :

1. Response Time (RT)

2. Transactions Per Second (TPS)

3. Throughput

4. CPU Utilization

5. Memory Utilization

6. Garbage Collection (GC)

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience in defect identification, performance bottleneck analysis, and reporting.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage assigned deliverables.

Preferred Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace for application performance monitoring.

- Experience using Splunk for log analysis and issue correlation.

- Ability to collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.

- Exposure to enterprise-scale applications and distributed system :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related discipline.

- Any Graduate with relevant performance testing experience is eligible.
