YASH Technologies - Senior SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Senior Consultant with 6-10 years of SAP development experience, including strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), ABAP Cloud Development, CDS Views, and Fiori technologies. This role involves designing and developing cloud-native, clean-core compliant SAP solutions while supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud applications using RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).

- Develop cloud-native ABAP solutions using ABAP for Cloud Development (Steampunk / SAP ABAP Environment).

- Build and maintain CDS Views, Behavior Definitions, Service Definitions, Service Bindings, and RAP Business Objects.

- Develop and expose APIs and services using OData V2 and OData V4 frameworks.

- Design and implement Fiori Elements applications using UI annotations and SAP best practices.

- Ensure adherence to Clean Core principles and SAP Public Cloud extensibility standards.

- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Perform code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities.

- Support SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud enhancements, extensions, integrations, and application lifecycle management.

- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment artifacts.

- Ensure delivery of secure, scalable, maintainable, and cloud-ready SAP solutions.

- Stay updated with emerging SAP technologies, SAP BTP capabilities, and modern SAP development practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 6-10 years of SAP ABAP development experience.

- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environments.

- Strong hands-on expertise in RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).

- Experience with ABAP for Cloud Development (Steampunk / SAP ABAP Environment).

- Strong knowledge of CDS Views, RAP Business Object Modeling, Behavior Definitions, and Service Bindings.

- Hands-on experience with OData V2 and OData V4 service development.

- Experience developing applications using Fiori Elements and UI annotations.

- Proficiency with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.

- Strong understanding of Clean Core architecture principles and SAP Public Cloud extensibility concepts.

- Experience with modern SAP development standards, performance optimization, and code quality practices.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
