Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in software quality assurance, including both manual and automation testing.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality product delivery by defining robust testing strategies, building scalable automation frameworks, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. This role requires strong hands-on expertise along with the ability to drive quality initiatives independently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and optimize test plans, test strategies, and automation frameworks.
- Drive test automation initiatives using tools such as Playwright, Katalon, Selenium, or similar.
- Establish and follow QA best practices, standards, and processes.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scripts.
- Identify, log, and track defects; ensure timely resolution and retesting.
- Analyze defects and perform root cause analysis.
- Track and report QA metrics (defect leakage, test coverage, automation coverage, etc.).
- Contribute to release planning and quality risk assessment.
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong expertise in test automation frameworks and tools (Playwright, Katalon, Selenium, etc.).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with web technologies (React, APIs, microservices architecture).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.).
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in test strategy planning and process improvement.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience working in product-based or data-driven organizations.
