QA Tester - UI & API Testing

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Tester with 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in UI testing using OPA (One Page Acceptance Tests) and/or Playwright, along with hands-on experience in API testing using tools such as Bruno and JMeter. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications and APIs through comprehensive test planning, execution, automation, and defect management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.

- Perform UI testing for web applications using OPA and/or Playwright to validate functionality, usability, responsiveness, and overall user experience.

- Create and maintain automated test scripts for regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.

- Conduct API testing using Bruno and JMeter to validate request and response structures, business logic, authentication mechanisms, and data integrity.

- Develop and execute performance and load testing scenarios using JMeter to identify application bottlenecks and ensure system scalability.

- Analyze API responses, HTTP status codes, request payloads, and response data to verify application behavior against requirements.

- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand application functionality and testing requirements.

- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Perform regression testing during release cycles to ensure that new changes do not impact existing functionality.

- Validate application behavior across different browsers, devices, and operating systems to ensure compatibility and consistency.

- Create detailed test reports and provide regular updates on testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and issues.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, and test automation.

- Strong hands-on experience in UI testing using OPA (One Page Acceptance Tests) and/or Playwright automation framework.

- Experience in API testing using Bruno, including API request creation, execution, validation, and debugging.

- Good knowledge of JMeter for API testing, performance testing, load testing, and stress testing.

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), JSON, XML, and API authentication mechanisms.
