Role : Java Backend Developer

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our team supporting Citi Bank projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, and experience building scalable, high-performance applications in a banking or enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java technologies

- Build and implement microservices-based solutions using Spring Boot

- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of applications

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, QA, and DevOps

- Develop secure and compliant applications aligned with banking standards

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems

- Participate in code reviews and best practice implementations

- Work with databases and ensure efficient data handling

- Support deployment and post-production monitoring

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong proficiency in Java (8+)

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot & Microservices

- Experience in REST API development

- Knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases

- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools

- Understanding of API security & authentication

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus

- Good understanding of system design & architecture

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to banking/financial domain projects

- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes

- Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Eligibility Criteria :

- Experience : 5 - 8 years

- Notice Period : Immediate to short joiners preferred

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Work Location : Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai
