Senior Accountant - Compilation & Corporate Tax

- Develop technical skills in areas such as compilations and corporate tax

- Prepare Canadian corporate tax returns and other related tax filings

- Manage multiple files simultaneously

- Summarize clients' current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports

- Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports

- Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts

- Categorize financial data for utilization of data analytics and prepare related client deliverables

- Build competencies in data analytics reporting and identification of opportunities for relevant client advisory services

- Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts, and highlights

- Develop effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members

- Identify possible areas of improvement to internal process and technologies and collaborate with other internal teams on solutions Skills:

- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and software

- Strong written English language skills

- Customer service and/or client service experience

Technical Skills:

- Experience working with accounting and tax software

- Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset

- Understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles

- Understanding of the fundamentals of data analytics
