Role Overview :
As a Lead Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and executing comprehensive performance testing strategies that ensure our clients' platforms remain resilient under extreme load.
You will work closely with development teams, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to identify bottlenecks, conduct deep-dive root cause analysis, and implement performance tuning measures. Your work directly impacts the end-user experience by ensuring sub-second response times and high availability for mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement end-to-end performance test frameworks to validate system scalability and reliability for high-concurrency applications.
- Execute complex load, stress, and endurance testing scenarios to identify potential failure points before they impact production environments.
- Perform detailed performance tuning and optimization of application code, database queries, and infrastructure configurations to improve overall system throughput.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical performance benchmarks and service level objectives.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices in performance engineering and provide technical guidance on complex troubleshooting tasks.
- Analyze monitoring logs and diagnostic data to provide actionable insights that drive architectural improvements and resource efficiency.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in designing performance test suites using JMeter and LoadRunner for large-scale distributed systems.
- Advanced proficiency in performance tuning, including memory management, thread analysis, and database optimization techniques.
- Strong ability to interpret complex system metrics and translate them into clear, technical recommendations for stakeholders.
- Proven experience in managing performance testing lifecycles for 8 to 15 years in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical bottlenecks to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Adaptability to work in a hybrid model across our Pune and Hyderabad offices, collaborating seamlessly with distributed global teams.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, reflecting a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
