About The Opportunity

Operating in the healthcare sector within tertiary and secondary acute-care hospitals across India, this role leads pharmacy operations that ensure medication safety, regulatory compliance, and excellent clinical outcomes. We deliver inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical services, support multidisciplinary clinical teams, and prioritise patient-centric medication management. This on-site role is ideal for an experienced hospital pharmacist ready to manage end-to-end pharmacy functions and lead a pharmacy team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily hospital pharmacy operations: dispensing, distribution, and ward-level drug delivery with strict adherence to protocols.
  • Manage medicine procurement, stock control, expiry management and optimise inventory turnover to reduce stockouts and wastage.
  • Lead formulary management and medication-use reviews; implement policies for safe prescribing, dispensing and administration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Drug & Cosmetics Act, pharmacy council rules) and internal quality systems (NABH/ISO) including record-keeping for controlled substances.
  • Supervise, train and mentor pharmacy staff; plan rosters, performance reviews and continuous professional development activities.
  • Operate and maintain pharmacy information systems; generate operational reports, manage billing interfaces and support audit/inspection readiness.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Registered Pharmacist with a State Pharmacy Council (India)
  • B.Pharm or Pharm.D (or equivalent) with hospital pharmacy experience
  • Proven experience in hospital pharmacy operations and team leadership
  • Working knowledge of the Drug & Cosmetics Act, controlled drugs handling and hospital regulatory requirements (NABH/ISO)
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic medication records
  • Strong competence in procurement, inventory control and cold-chain management

Preferred

  • Postgraduate qualification or clinical pharmacy certification
  • Experience in sterile compounding and aseptic techniques
  • Exposure to pharmacovigilance or therapeutic drug monitoring programs
