SAP Workflow Consultant

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and analytical SAP Workflow Consultant to join our enterprise applications team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of business process automation across our SAP landscape.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between classical and modern SAP architectures, possessing deep expertise in Classic SAP Business Workflow alongside S/4HANA Flexible Workflow.

You will design intelligent process automation solutions, leverage decision tables, and integrate backend workflows seamlessly with modern SAP Fiori user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities :

Workflow Design & S/4HANA Modernization :

- Architect, configure, and develop end-to-end automation pipelines using SAP Business Workflow and modern Flexible Workflow frameworks in SAP S/4HANA.

- Define and maintain complex business rules and decision matrices using BRF+ (Business Rule Framework plus) to drive dynamic workflow routing.

- Design and implement robust Event Handling and Linking mechanisms (via status management, change documents, and message control) to trigger workflows smoothly based on business events.

- Implement custom agent determination logic, deadline monitoring, and exception-handling routines.

ABAP Development & Fiori Integration :

- Write high-quality, optimized ABAP code (including Object-Oriented ABAP) to support custom workflow steps, business object methods (BOR), and class-based workflows.

- Configure and extend SAP Fiori MyInbox applications to provide users with a seamless, unified task approval experience across desktop and mobile devices.

- Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex workflow bottlenecks, runtime errors, and performance issues.

Business Collaboration & Consulting :

- Partner with functional consultants (MM, SD, FI, HR, etc.) and business stakeholders to translate complex, manual business process flows into automated, auditable technical workflows.

- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including workflow architecture diagrams, design specifications, and test scripts.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

Technical Skill :

Workflow Core :

- SAP Business Workflow (Classic)

- Flexible Workflow (S/4HANA framework)

- Experience migrating classic workflows to Flexible Workflow in S/4HANA.

Development :

- Strong Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP)

- Business Object Repository (BOR) & ABAP Classes

- Development of custom BAdIs for agent determination.

Rules & Events :

- Process Automation logic

- BRF+ configuration & integration.

- Advanced Event Linkage / Custom Event Handling.

User Experience :

- Standard SAP GUI task design

- Fiori MyInbox Configuration

- Customizing Task Gateways & SWFVISU.
