QA – Team Lead

We are seeking a talented and experienced QA – Team Lead to own the quality requirements of products. You will be responsible for planning and executing product testing to ensure the highest standards of reliability, user-friendliness, security, and performance. A key aspect of this role involves grooming, leading, and monitoring a team of test engineers, managing their deliverables, and providing guidance and troubleshooting support.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Help ensure product quality through the planning and execution of product testing, meeting the highest standards of reliability, user-friendliness, security, and performance.
• Groom, lead, and monitor a team of test engineers.
• Manage team deliverables, guide them, and help troubleshoot issues they encounter.
• Conduct application testing on both web applications.
• Create test cases based on Functional Specifications.
• Execute test cases and perform functional and backend verifications.
• Manage defect tracking with scrum tools like JIRA, Phabricator, etc.
• Prepare test plans and test reports with complete status of product quality.
• Participate in all aspects of product design and testing within a highly collaborative team.

Required Skills:

• Experience in creating test cases based on Functional Specifications.
• Experience in executing test cases and performing functional and backend verifications.
• Proficiency in defect tracking and management with scrum tools like JIRA, Phabricator, etc.
• Experience in preparing test plans and test reports with complete status of product quality.
• Understanding of web concepts like HTTP, HTML, sessions, cookies, etc.
• Understanding of databases and basic queries.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with Test Automation Tools.
• Experience with leading a team of QA engineers.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually; must be a self-starter.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with testing of modern web applications.
• Understanding and basic knowledge of AJAX, REST APIs, etc.

QUALIFICATION:

• Formal education in Computer Science theory (B.E. / B. Tech. Comp Sci, MCS, MCA, CDAC).
