Position Overview

The Zonal Business Head – Mortgages is responsible for driving business growth, profitability, and portfolio quality across the assigned zone. Reporting to the National Business Head / Business Director, this role leads sales, channel development, and collections while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Mortgage business growth and achieve disbursement and revenue targets across the assigned zone.
• Develop and execute zonal sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify market opportunities and expand the customer base across geographies.
• Lead, mentor, and manage Regional Managers, Area Managers, and branch sales teams to deliver high performance.
• Build and strengthen relationships with DSAs, connectors, builders, brokers, and channel partners for consistent lead generation.
• Ensure portfolio quality, maintain delinquency within acceptable limits, and monitor login-to-disbursement ratios and TAT adherence.
• Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Operations, and Collections teams to ensure quality sourcing and portfolio monitoring.
• Drive process adherence, operational efficiency, and implementation of SOPs and audit controls across branches.
• Support collections teams in controlling overdue and NPA levels and initiate corrective actions for delinquent accounts.
• Prepare periodic MIS reports, analyze zonal performance metrics, and ensure compliance with RBI regulations and company policies.
  
  

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience: 10–15+ years in Mortgage / LAP / Housing Finance / Secured Lending with 4–6 years in a leadership role managing large teams and multiple locations.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead zonal teams, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver business objectives.
• Technical Expertise: Strong exposure to sales, credit coordination, collections, and channel management within NBFC / HFC / Banking sectors.
• Soft Skills: Strategic, analytical, and decisive leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
