About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of our database systems. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, scalability, performance, and security across all database platforms used in our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database architectures.
• Develop database solutions to store and retrieve company data efficiently.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize application-database interaction.
• Evaluate and implement tools for monitoring, automation, and performance tuning.
• Establish and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular database health checks and performance assessments.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place.
• Support migration of legacy systems to modern database platforms (on-prem and cloud).
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in database architecture and administration.
• Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficient in data security, encryption, and access control best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in database technologies (e.g., Oracle DBA, AWS Certified Database – Specialty).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices as applied to database operations.
