Software Development Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of an agile product team, you will design, develop, and optimize SAP Fiori applications and backend services using modern ABAP technologies. You will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver intuitive user experiences and efficient reporting solutions aligned with S/4HANA architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

SAP Fiori Development

• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications
• Extend standard Fiori apps (List Reports, Analytical Pages, Overview Pages)
• Configure and manage Fiori Launchpad (catalogs, roles, spaces)
• Build and consume OData services (v2/v4)

ABAP & Backend Development

• Develop scalable applications using ABAP on HANA
• Build and optimize CDS Views and AMDP-based solutions
• Maintain and modernize legacy ABAP reports
• Ensure efficient database utilization through code optimization

Performance & Quality

• Perform performance tuning using SAP tools (SAT, ST05)
• Follow clean code and development best practices
• Contribute to code reviews and maintain high-quality standards

Agile Collaboration

• Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• Collaborate with product managers and analysts to refine requirements
• Contribute to CI/CD and testing practices

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong experience in ABAP development and SAP Fiori
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA
• Hands-on experience with:
  • CDS Views and data modeling
  • SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • OData services (SAP Gateway)
• Familiarity with development tools like Eclipse (ADT) or SAP BAS
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• Exposure to analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Knowledge of integration technologies (RFC, APIs, IDocs)
• SAP certifications in relevant technologies

Experience

• Typically 4â€'8 years of relevant SAP development experience
