Job Title : Cloud Network Operations Engineer

Location : Hyderabad

Roles & Responsibilities :

Become a core member of the Cloud Networking Team , focusing on proactive operational network management.

Act as an interface between SRE teams and Network Engineering , serving as a key escalation point for complex issues.

Mentor and guide network specialists within the SRE team to improve capability and performance.

Lead communication and coordination during multi-tiered network changes or large-scale implementation projects.

Review and optimize network monitoring systems ; identify gaps and recommend improvements.

Evaluate and enhance device management strategies for improved efficiency and standardization.

Perform continuous analysis of CMDB data and monitoring systems to maintain hygiene, validate alarms, and ensure alerting accuracy.

Own and drive testing and implementation projects from the Network Architecture team.

Collaborate with Data Center and Operations teams for code upgrades, maintenance, and platform transitions.

Develop and maintain network automation scripts / tools to ensure configuration compliance and resolve alerts efficiently.

Build and support internal network operational tools to enable scalability.

Provide feedback to CNS architecture teams on design decisions, tooling, and automations.

Review network alarms, analyze root causes, and recommend performance enhancements.

Partner with Infrastructure and Development teams to improve overall reliability and quality of service.

Take ownership of critical tasks or strategic network initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience :

Core Networking Expertise :

Strong foundation in Routing, Switching, Security, and Load Balancing

Deep knowledge of protocols and technologies :

802.1Q, HSRP / VRRP, OSPF, ISIS, MCLAG, BGP, NAT, ACLs, IPSEC, SNMP

Understanding of MPLS is a plus

Strong understanding of TCP / IP architecture , packet analysis, and protocol internals

Platforms & Tools :

Hands-on experience with Juniper JunOS

Knowledge of Cisco IOS (preferred)

Experience with F5 Load Balancers

Expertise in troubleshooting tools : tcpdump, Wireshark

Automation & Scripting (Highly Preferred) :

Python, Ansible, JavaScript

Exposure to Agile / SDLC environments

System Knowledge :

Linux / Unix basic system administration and troubleshooting

Cumulus Linux experience is an added advantage

Certifications (Preferred) :

JNCIE or CCIE

Proven track record in Operations within a large-scale enterprise or cloud environment

Strong problem-solving capability with ability to drive initiatives end-to-end

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
