Job Description

Role Objective

We are seeking a visionary and seasoned Design Manager. With over a decade of

experience, you will bridge the gap between artistic innovation and commercial viability. You

will be responsible for translating global trends into market-ready collections (Bed, Bath,

Table, Kitchen Textiles) that resonate with high-end international US retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Creative Leadership & Trend Forecasting
  
  

Direction: Set the seasonal design aesthetic, color palettes, and mood boards for US

market.

Analysis: Analyze WGSN reports, Maison & Objet, and Heimtextil trends to ensure

the product line remains ahead of the curve.

Innovation: Drive innovation in surface ornamentation, weaving techniques,

sustainable fibers, and printing.

• Collection Development & Execution
  
  

Product Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end development process from initial sketch

to final physical sample.

Diversification: Lead design for multiple categories including cushions, throws, bed

linen, table linen and kitchen textiles.

Technical Oversight: Ensure designs are technically feasible for mass production

without losing the required aesthetics.

• Buyer Understanding & Service
  
  

Presentations: Pitch collections to international buyers as per their mood board and

directions.

Customization: Adapt core designs to meet specific buyer's requirement while

maintaining the company& design DNA.

Pricing Strategy: Work closely with the merchant team to ensure designs meet the

target price points of the buyers.

• Team Mentorship & Operations
  
  

Mentorship: Manage and grow a team of designers, CAD artists, and sampling team.

Sourcing: Collaborate with the procurement team to source new yarns, fabrics, and

trims.

Display : Supervise the sampling process till final sampling with in time line and make

sure the samples are well displayed for the buyer visits as per their aesthetic.
