Job Description :
- You will operate at the intersection of performance engineering, infrastructure platforms, developer experience, observability, and production reliability for one of India's largest crypto trading ecosystems.
- As part of the Performance Platform Engineering team, you'll build internal platforms and infrastructure systems that power high-scale trading workloads across Futures, Options, Spot, and Exchange systems.
- Your work will directly impact execution speed, platform reliability, infrastructure efficiency, and engineering velocity across the organisation.
- This role requires deep ownership across platform architecture, performance systems, infra automation, observability, chaos engineering, cost optimisation, and self-serve developer tooling.
- You will help shift the organisation from execution-heavy operational workflows toward scalable platform-first engineering systems that improve reliability while reducing operational overhead.
- Your decisions will directly influence scale readiness, release confidence, production resilience, and infrastructure efficiency at :
- Platform Engineering and Internal Tooling : Design and build reusable internal platforms such as Universal Performance Platforms, Runbook UIs, self-serve infra management systems, debugging frameworks, and execution orchestration tooling that reduce dependency on centralised Perf/DevOps teams.
- Performance Infrastructure and Scale Systems : Own and optimise large-scale performance environments supporting high-throughput trading systems across Futures, Options, and Exchange workloads. Improve execution efficiency, environmental reliability, and production-performance parity.
- Reliability, Observability and Chaos Engineering : Build robust observability systems leveraging metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and automated health validation. Drive chaos engineering practices and resilience testing to proactively identify failure points across critical systems.
- Infrastructure Optimisation and Cost Efficiency : Drive measurable infra cost optimisation through automation, infra right-sizing, serverless adoption, workload optimisation, and intelligent resource utilisation while maintaining strict performance SLAs and execution readiness.
- Developer Experience and Self-Serve Platforms : Enable engineering teams with faster, self-serve workflows for performance validation, infra provisioning, debugging, monitoring, and execution management to significantly improve developer productivity and release velocity.
- Automation and Platform Reliability : Automate repetitive operational workflows across performance execution, infra scaling, deployment validation, system debugging, and environment lifecycle management using Infrastructure as Code and platform automation principles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Backend, Infra, DevOps, SRE, Security, and Exchange teams to establish scalable platform standards, improve production readiness, and drive engineering best practices across the organisation.
Expectations :
- Performance execution turnaround times are reduced significantly through self-serve platform adoption and workflow automation.
- Engineering teams independently execute performance validations, infra operations, and debugging workflows with minimal centralised dependency.
- Infrastructure costs are measurably optimised while maintaining high reliability and execution performance.
- Platform reliability improves through stronger observability, automated validation, and reduced production incidents.
- MTTR and infra-related execution failures have substantially reduced across critical trading systems.
- Production readiness and release confidence improve through stronger environment parity, resilience validation, and platform standards.
- Internal platforms become foundational systems adopted widely across Futures, Options, Spot, and Exchange teams.
