Knitting Manager

Your Mission:

To lead knitting operations by ensuring efficient production, superior product quality, and a highly engaged workforce, ultimately delivering products that meet customer expectations while optimizing cost and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

• Plan and manage production to ensure timely delivery of products meeting defined quality standards.
• Maintain optimal efficiency level across operations.
• Control second-quality output to within the maximum tolerance.
• Minimize material waste and improve resource utilization.
• Optimize overtime through effective workforce planning and shift management.
• Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality.
• Achieve targeted cost-saving initiatives within defined timelines.
• Monitor and control yarn consumption in line with standard GSM requirements.
• Collaborate with the design team to proactively address and prevent quality issues.
• Work closely with operators and technicians to improve machine performance and output.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), manufacturing, and quality standards.

People Management & Development

• Partner with HR to develop an effective manpower plan, ensuring adequate staffing and succession for critical roles.
• Define and monitor KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
• Identify training needs and organize skill development programs.
• Foster employee engagement and motivation through team building and recognition initiatives.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Textile Technology or a related field.
• Strong understanding of knitting operations, production planning, and quality control.
• Proven ability to drive efficiency, cost optimization, and process improvements.
• Effective leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional environments.
• Certifications in Production and Quality Control are an added advantage.
