Job description

Role Purpose

This role is intended for a specialized export logistics professional The Logistics Executive will be responsible for end-to-end export execution of engineering goods and equipment with strong hands-on exposure to export documentation Incoterms customs clearance and coordination with multiple external agencies.

Key Responsibilities - Export Operations

  • Manage end to end export logistics for engineering goods machinery fabricated items and project equipment.
  • Handle exports to Africa Middle East Europe or other international markets.
  • Plan shipments based on cargo nature (breakbulk / containerized / ODC) and project timelines.

Incoterms & Commercial Understanding

  • Execute shipments as per agreed Incoterms (EXW FOB CIF CFR DAP etc.).
  • Ensure correct allocation of cost risk and responsibility.

Export Documentation

  • Commercial Invoice and Packing List (including dimensions and weights).
  • Shipping Bill Bill of Lading / AWB.
  • Certificate of Origin / GSP and insurance documents.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.

Customs & External Coordination

  • Liaise with Customs Clearing Agents (CHA) for clearance activities.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders shipping lines cargo companies and transporters.
  • Resolve customs queries and clearance issues.

Shipment Execution & Tracking

  • Monitor cargo movement from factory to port and shipment departure.
  • Provide shipment status updates to stakeholders.

Compliance & Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with export regulations DGFT norms and internal SOPs.
  • Propose process improvements for efficiency and standardization.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 10-12 years in export logistics of engineering goods or equipment.
  • Exposure to Africa Middle East or Europe exports.
  • Graduation in Logistics Supply Chain Engineering or related field.

Key Competencies

  • Strong export documentation and compliance knowledge.
  • Coordination and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to handle complex and timecritical shipments.

Role Clarification

This position requires specialized export logistics knowledge and hands-on execution capability for complex international shipments.
