Job description
The Assistant Director – International Relations is responsible for supporting the university’s internationalization strategy through development and management of global partnerships, international student engagement, academic collaborations, exchange programs, and international outreach initiatives. The role involves coordination with foreign universities, embassies, international agencies, faculty members, and students to strengthen the institution’s global presence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with international universities, institutions, and organizations. Coordinate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), student exchange agreements, and academic collaborations. Identify opportunities for international academic partnerships, joint research, and faculty exchange programs. Facilitate communication between university departments and global partner institutions. Assist international students with admission-related guidance, onboarding, orientation, and cultural integration. Coordinate support services related to visa documentation, accommodation, travel assistance, and student welfare. Coordinate inbound and outbound student/faculty exchange programs. Manage international internship, study abroad, semester exchange, and mobility initiatives. Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and reporting for all exchange programs. Plan and organize international conferences, seminars, webinars, cultural exchange programs, and delegation visits. Coordinate logistics, hospitality, scheduling, and communication for visiting international delegates. Represent the university during international education fairs, networking events, and partnership meetings. Maintain records of international collaborations, agreements, and partnership activities. Ensure compliance with university policies and international education regulations. Promote international programs and opportunities through digital platforms, presentations, and student outreach activities. Coordinate with marketing and communication teams for international branding and promotional activities. Support development of international content for university websites, brochures, and social media.

Skills & Experience:

Master’s degree in International Relations, Management, Education, Public Administration, or related field. 8 years of relevant experience in international relations, academic collaborations, student mobility, or university administration. Experience in handling international partnerships and academic coordination preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent coordination and relationship management abilities. Knowledge of international education systems and exchange programs. Strong presentation, documentation, and reporting skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in MS Office, email communication, and online collaboration tools.
