Job description
Job Purpose

To lead and manage the organization’s direct taxation function with primary responsibility for Income Tax compliance, tax planning, assessments, litigation support, and advisory. The role ensures adherence to statutory requirements, minimizes tax risks, and supports business decisions through effective tax strategies and regulatory guidance.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

- Ensure timely and accurate filing of Income Tax returns and related statutory compliances. - Manage TDS compliance including deduction, deposit, reconciliation, and return filing. - Review tax computations, advance tax workings, and deferred tax calculations and assess business impact - Handle Income Tax assessments, notices, appeals, and departmental inquiries. - Coordinate with tax consultants, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities. - Prepare submissions, reconciliations, and documentation for assessments and audits.

Competencies

- Knowledge of Income Tax Act, TDS provisions, and direct tax regulations - Expertise in tax assessments, litigation handling, and compliance management - Proficiency in ERP systems-SAP and advanced MS Excel - Ability to work under strict timelines - Attention to detail and accuracy

Experience: 6–10 Years

Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
