Position Summary :

The Honorary Advisor to the Endowment Council serves in an institutional advisory capacity, providing strategic counsel, professional insight, and representational value across the Endowment’s global initiatives. This role is reserved for highly accomplished individuals whose professional integrity, leadership, and networks align with the Endowment’s mission and governance ethos.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Offer strategic advisory input on partnerships, institutional development, and capital deployment initiatives.
  • Facilitate introductions and institutional linkages across academic, governmental, and philanthropic sectors.
  • Participate in consultative discussions with the Chair and Co-Chair (Rahim Thawer and Saira Thawer) regarding governance and program design.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality and professional discretion in all matters pertaining to the Endowment.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum  15 years of senior leadership or advisory experience  in finance, academia, philanthropy, policy, or institutional governance.
  • Recognized record of  ethical leadership , institutional credibility, or strategic influence.
  • Proven ability to engage across  multi-sector and cross-border collaborations .
  • Exceptional integrity and adherence to confidentiality standards.
  • Compensation :

    This is an honorary, non-salaried position. However, conditional, engagement-based compensation may be offered for one-off advisory projects, institutional representations, or exceptional contributions, subject to Council approval. Such engagements are project-specific and non-binding toward recurring remuneration.

    Engagement Terms :

  • Type :  Honorary appointment; part-time, flexible engagement.
  • Duration :  By invitation; renewable annually at the Council’s discretion.
  • Reporting :  Directly to the Chair and Co-Chair of the Endowment Council.
  • Location :  Remote / Global.
  • Confidentiality :  All members must uphold the highest standards of institutional non-disclosure and ethical conduct.
