ICT Project Manager

Role Overview :

As the ICT Project Manager, you will be at the helm of driving and delivering complex IT infrastructure projects across Nigeria. Your day-to-day will involve planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they align with the organization's strategic goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, vendors, and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless project delivery.

Your leadership will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our IT systems, enabling the business to operate smoothly and innovate effectively, ultimately enhancing customer experience and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets, to guide project execution and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

- Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs.

- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery and foster a collaborative work environment.

- Monitor project progress closely, identifying and addressing potential risks and issues proactively to keep projects on track and within budget.

- Manage stakeholder expectations effectively, communicating project status regularly and addressing concerns promptly to maintain stakeholder satisfaction.

- Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring vendors deliver services and products according to agreed-upon terms and conditions to maintain project quality and timelines.

- Implement change management processes to minimize disruption and ensure smooth transitions during project implementation.

- Ensure projects adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations to maintain compliance and minimize legal risks.

- Prepare and present project reports to senior management, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues to facilitate informed decision-making.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

- Proven expertise in stakeholder management, building strong relationships and effectively communicating with diverse groups to achieve project objectives.

- Adept at identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks, minimizing potential disruptions and ensuring project success.

- Strong budget management skills, including developing, tracking, and controlling project budgets to maximize resource utilization and minimize costs.

- Proficient in change management methodologies, facilitating smooth transitions and minimizing resistance to change during project implementation.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate project plans, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.

- Demonstrated technical leadership, guiding and mentoring project teams to achieve project goals and foster a collaborative work environment.

- Skilled in vendor management, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of services and products.

- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, identifying and resolving complex technical issues to keep projects on track.

- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.

- Adaptable to working in a dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
