Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager - Fly Ash Construction (Road & Highways) to lead fly ash utilization and embankment projects for highways and expressways. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project execution including ash sourcing, logistics coordination, embankment construction, stakeholder management, MOU execution, transportation contracts, and compliance with project and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in managing fly ash-based road/highway construction projects in coordination with thermal power plants, contractors, transporters, and government authorities including National Highways Authority of India and NTPC Limited.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Management

- Lead execution of fly ash utilization projects for highways, expressways, and road embankment works.

- Manage project planning, execution schedules, resource allocation, and site coordination activities.

- Ensure timely completion of embankment and ash utilization works as per technical specifications and project timelines.

- Supervise project teams, contractors, and site engineers across multiple project locations.

Fly Ash Utilization & Embankment Works

- Manage ash-based embankment construction activities in compliance with project quality standards and environmental norms.

- Ensure proper utilization of fly ash for highway and expressway construction.

- Coordinate ash availability and lifting from thermal power plants to project sites.

- Monitor embankment quality, compaction, layering, and construction methodologies.

Logistics & Transportation Management

- Oversee end-to-end fly ash logistics and transportation operations.

- Manage transportation vendors, fleet deployment, dispatch planning, and trip monitoring.

- Optimize transportation costs and improve operational efficiency.

- Handle transportation contracts, rate negotiations, and vendor performance management.

Stakeholder Coordination & MOU Management

- Coordinate with National Highways Authority of India, project consultants, EPC contractors, thermal power plants, transporters, and local authorities.

- Liaise with NTPC Limited and other ash-generating units for ash sourcing and operational coordination.

- Lead discussions and coordination for signing of MOUs, ash supply agreements, transportation agreements, and project execution contracts.

- Ensure timely approvals, documentation, statutory clearances, and compliance requirements.

Commercial & Contract Management

- Prepare and manage transportation agreements, project contracts, rate contracts, and commercial negotiations.

- Monitor project costs, logistics expenses, and contractor billing.

- Ensure adherence to commercial terms, contractual obligations, and project budgets.

Compliance, Safety & Reporting

- Ensure compliance with fly ash utilization policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

- Maintain project MIS, progress reports, utilization data, MOU records, and operational documentation.

- Conduct regular reviews of project performance, logistics efficiency, and contractor compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 10-20 years of experience in fly ash utilization, road/highway construction, embankment projects, or infrastructure development.

- Strong experience in managing fly ash transportation and utilization for NHAI/highway/expressway projects.

- Hands-on exposure to ash logistics, transportation planning, and bulk material movement operations.

- Good understanding of ash-based embankment construction methodologies and project execution practices.

- Experience in handling MOUs, commercial agreements, and coordination with thermal power plants and government agencies.

- Experience in dealing with thermal power plants, especially NTPC Limited and similar organizations.

- Strong network with contractors, transporters, and local authorities.

- Proven experience in vendor management, rate negotiation, and contract administration.

- Excellent leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

- Any degree with solid experience ash based construction projects
