Operations and Inventory Associate - Varanasi

Tilfi Banaras is a leading brand for handloom textiles of Varanasi. We work with hundreds of weavers and artisans to produce some of the finest Banarasi handloom textiles woven today.

We are looking for an Operations & Inventory Support Associate to support our day-to-day inventory, production coordination, and operational processes in Varanasi.

Role Overview

The role involves handling operational workflows related to inventory management, product tracking, vendor coordination, dispatch support, and quality control. You will work closely with multiple teams to ensure smooth execution of day-to-day operations and timely order fulfillment.

Key Areas of Ownership

Inventory & Data Management

• Enter and maintain product information and data in GRN sheets and internal systems
• Generate product vouchers and maintain accurate records
• Verify products and ensure correctness of all entered data
• Organize and manage inventory efficiently
• Maintain reports related to inventory levels, stock, and production data
• Manage stock of raw materials such as zari, silk, and other inputs

Quality Control & Product Handling

• Conduct textile quality checks, including colours and other technical parameters
• Oversee dyeing processes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders
• Handle product labelling and tagging

Vendor & Weaver Coordination

• Follow up regularly with suppliers and weavers regarding production and deliveries
• Gather, organize, and maintain supplier invoices and related documentation
• Verify courier invoices and dispatch-related documentation

Order Fulfillment & Operations Support

• Coordinate orders and ensure timely fulfillment
• Support dispatch operations in the absence of primary team members
• Respond to operational queries from different departments
• Assist in production planning based on customer demand and inventory levels
• Take ownership of any additional operational responsibilities as required

Skills & Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Sheets; familiarity with Shopify is preferred
• Basic understanding of textiles, fabrics, and colours
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good typing speed and computer literacy
• Good understanding of English
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Punctual, organized, and dependable
