Position Summary
The QMS Engineer / Associate will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving Quality Management Systems aligned with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements. The role requires strong hands-on exposure to automotive quality systems, supplier quality, process audits, EMS manufacturing processes, and quality core tools.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling cross-functional coordination, driving corrective and preventive actions, supporting customer requirements, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System
- Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949 requirements.
- Drive compliance with documented procedures, process controls, and customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain and control quality documentation, SOPs, work instructions, records, and audit reports.
- Support internal and external audits, including certification and customer audits.
Audit Management
- Conduct and manage:
- Supplier System Audits
- EMS and Internal System Audits
- Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify quality risks and implement preventive actions.
- Drive Kaizen, CAPA, and process optimization initiatives.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Automotive, EV, Electronics Manufacturing, or EMS industry.
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality requirements.
- Hands-on experience in EMS/SMT manufacturing quality processes.
- Experience in independently handling audits, customer quality requirements, and process improvements.

- Experience in EV startups, automotive electronics, telematics, IoT products, or EMS manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to customer audits and OEM quality requirements.
- Certification in Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor for IATF 16949 will be an added advantage.
