GCP Cloud Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled GCP Cloud Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GCP services, microservices architecture, and container orchestration using Kubernetes. This role requires collaboration with development and DevOps teams to ensure efficient deployment processes and adherence to security best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient build, release, and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain pipelines for microservices-based architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm charts.
• Configure and manage API Gateways, including routing, security, throttling, and integrations.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Automate infrastructure setup, monitoring, and deployment processes for various environments.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and best practices across cloud environments.
• Support environment setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.

Mandatory Skills:

• Hands-on experience with GCP services and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration.
• Experience with API Gateways (Apigee or similar) at an advanced level.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization.
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on GCP.
• Certifications in GCP or related technologies are a plus.
