Job descriptionQualifications And Prerequisites Designation :- Assistant Manager - Legal Location: Ahmedabad Department: Legal & Compliance Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid) Education: Bachelor of Law (LLB) Experience: - PQE with a reputed law firm in general corporate practice and / or in-house experience with MNCs or Indian conglomerates of 7–9 years in corporate legal roles with expertise in contract management, data privacy and compliance. - Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills - Experience in international corporate and contractual laws - Ability to simplify legal concepts for non-legal teams and document processes - Excellent stakeholder management and communication - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. - Sectoral preference: Outsourcing, IT industry, Service industry or any other relevant industry. Role And Responsibilities Draft, review, negotiate, and amend a wide range of legal documents, including: - NDAs, Service Agreements, MSAs, SOWs, Addendums - Vendor / Supplier Agreements, Lease Agreements - Procurement, supply chain, R&D, IT, and technical services contracts Ensure all contracts adequately protect the Company’s interests, including robust clauses on: - Confidentiality, Intellectual Property - Indemnity, Limitation of Liability - Dispute Resolution and Governing Law Provide proactive legal advice to business and operational teams on contractual, commercial, and legal risk matters affecting business operations Draft legal notices, replies, affidavits, and support dispute management, including: - Legal proceedings - Settlement negotiations - Recovery actions (including issuing notices and coordinating with agencies/counsel) Support litigation management, including: - Coordination with external counsel - Court filings (including small claims where applicable) - Case tracking and documentation Manage intellectual property matters, including: - Trademark filings - Examination responses and oppositions Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions, including: - Corporate laws - Employment and labour laws - Regulatory compliance requirements Draft, review, and update: - Employee contracts and HR policies - Internal policies and standard operating procedures Advise on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and compliance with labour laws Maintain proper custody, archiving, and digitization of: - Executed contracts - Legal documents and records - Legal databases and repositories Conduct legal research and provide updates to stakeholders on: - Legal developments - Regulatory changes - Judicial precedents and emerging risks Act as legal point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including: - Clients, vendors, regulators, and business teams Lead and support commercial negotiations and external stakeholder engagements Contribute to legal function efficiency through: - Knowledge management initiatives - Process improvements - Standardization of templates and practices Support team development through mentoring, training, and participation in hiring and capability building initiatives If interested, you can apply here or share your profile at priyanka.dutta@qxglobalgroup.com.
