About Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst to join our Technical Analytics & Measurement team, which resides in the Data Governance function. The role involves hands-on tracking design and implementation of first-party data collection and analytics configuration through Snowplow, including web and app pixel configuration to enhance data privacy compliance. You will support the data needs of various teams including Product & Design, Consumer Revenue, Commercial and Legal, as well as ensure compliance with privacy laws. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent collaboration skills and meticulous attention to detail in data governance and quality assurance. This role will also develop and optimise the data infrastructure and data models behind a customer-centric marketing business.
Key Responsibilities Analytics configuration, implementation and troubleshooting Generate tracking design against user requirements and in accordance with schema standardisation guidelines, for our first-party data collection setup Hands-on implementation of Google Analytics and third-party tracking pixels, with or without a tag management platform, including server-side solutions Support in technical analytics strategy, tracking implementation and management of analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Snowplow, Rudderstack Install, configure and debug data tracking implementations following organisational best practices Oversee analytics tags implementation on the website via Chrome extensions and debugging tools to confirm data flow from websites and apps Troubleshoot issues with analytics schemas, event tracking, user journey mapping and consent setups, through onsite inspection and interrogation of database tables Technical design and development . Work with senior engineers to contribute to technical design and low-level coding for small to medium-sized initiatives Write secure and optimised code adhering to our approved coding standards, plus data privacy and compliance guidelines Develop tracking and tagging strategies, via standardised documentation in enterprise tools e.g. Avo, GitHub, Confluence Collaborate in onsite tag implementation, custom rules development and data layer element analysis using tag management platforms Review and ensure accuracy and performance of technical implementations, adhering to schema governance best practices Data governance and privacy Support Condé Nast in privacy initiatives and maintain compliance with evolving regulations through configuring and updates on data capture tools Support data governance across our analytics stack, ensuring data integrity, data lineage and data quality, through documentation, configuration and QA Identify and resolve gaps in analytics implementation, through configuration of GTM tag triggers, server-side data relay and other means, to ensure compliance with privacy laws Qualifications At least 2 years experience and BE or BTech in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field Extensive experience with Google Analytics implementation, third-party pixels and configuration of server-side data collection tools Possess experience and ability to translate business requirements into data layer specifications, event schemas and tracking design documentation Strong understanding of tag management systems including Google Tag Manager, with server-side tracking experience desirable Experience with JavaScript, JSON, SQL, BigQuery, Databricks and AWS, as well as enterprise systems e.g. Confluence, JIRA, GitHub Working knowledge of schema governance best practices and data engineering principles and practices Proven collaboration experience with cross-functional teams to support and understand data needs Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) and cookie consent management platforms (e.g. OneTrust, TrustArc) Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, plus ability to translate technical requirements into business solutions
