About the Role
The Global HR Data Governance & Strategy Manager will define global HR data standards & governance frameworks. This role will act as a high-level consultant to the People Services Team, People Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance, ensuring that our people data is accurate, compliant, and ready for predictive analytics.
Responsibilities
Data Governance & Policy
- Establish and maintain the Global HR Data Dictionary, defining clear ownership, business rules, and technical specifications for every field in SAP EC.
- Design the Data Governance Charter, specifically managing the complex handshake between HR Position Management and Finance Cost Centres.
- Lead the Data Change Request (DCR) process, evaluating the downstream impact of any new field or value requested by regional stakeholders or in-country stakeholders.
- Manage global HR data reporting, mass uploads, and organizational management initiatives, ensuring accuracy and consistency in SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP HCM.
- Drive process improvements and continuous service enhancements, including monitoring data quality, compliance, and control measures such as SOX.
Strategic Consulting & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary consultant for the SAP Lifecycle Upgrade, ensuring data integrity is maintained across 50 countries where Vistra has employees.
- Partner with the HR IT and Group Finance Controllers to resolve systemic "Sync Failures" between EC and S/4HANA.
- Provide "Data Literacy" coaching to the service delivery team to move them from manual entry to data-driven auditing.
Data Quality & Integration Oversight
- Define Data Health KPIs and build executive-level dashboards to monitor sync accuracy, latency, and mapping errors.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on integration failures in the SAP CPI (Middleware) and coordinate technical fixes with IT.
- Oversee "Data Scrubbing" sprints during M&A integrations or system migrations to ensure zero "data debt" enters the system.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, computer science, data science or related field.
Required Skills
- SAP Ecosystem Mastery: Deep experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) is mandatory. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP CPI is highly preferred.
- Position Management: Expert knowledge of how Position-driven architectures impact payroll and financial posting.
- Data Tools: Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI/Tableau, and advanced Excel for large-scale data reconciliation.
- Proactive, flexible, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
- Time management, Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- 8–12 years of experience in HR Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), or HR Operations Transformation.
- Proven track record in a Global Business Services (GBS) or Shared Services environment.
- Experience navigating PE-backed or M&A-heavy environments where data standards are frequently evolving.
