Dental-X is an LA-based AI company transforming the $38B Dental RCM market. We’ve built , the world’s first Digital Co-worker for DSOs. We don't just "automate" tasks; we build agentic AI that reasons through complex dental claims and legacy system friction. At Dental-X, we believe "CEO is a made-up title"—we are builders, and we are looking for a Principal Engineer with serious 𝐀𝐈 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐭 to lead our technical delivery in India.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧
As our Principal Engineer, you are responsible for shipping a robust, production-ready product. You will lead the engineering of our Agentic AI core, ensuring our digital co-worker can handle the "hallucination-prone" and unpredictable nature of legacy insurance data. You aren't just managing a team; you are architecting a system that turns unstructured dental chaos into high-fidelity revenue.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
• 𝐄𝐧𝐝-𝐭𝐨-𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: Lead the architecture of the full Dental-X stack, with a focus on building resilient bridges between Agentic AI and Legacy RPA.
• 𝐀𝐈 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐭 & 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Go beyond API calls. Architect "Agentic Loops" that can self-correct, reason through insurance denials, and handle the edge cases that break standard LLM implementations.
• 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐀𝐈: Implement rigorous evaluation frameworks for our AI outputs. You understand that "80% accuracy" is a failure in RCM—you strive for the 99.9% reliability needed for enterprise financial data.
• 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐏𝐀 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: Direct the development of TypeScript-based automations that are resilient to UI changes, anti-bot measures, and non-standardized dental portals.
• 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: Partner directly with the founders. You own the technical "how" and the delivery timeline.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐀𝐈 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐭")
• 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭: You’ve moved past simple prompts. You have experience with RAG, Tool-use, and multi-step AI reasoning chains.
• 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐓𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞: You know how AI fails in production and you know how to build the guardrails, retry logic, and observability to prevent it.
• 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭: You believe in type safety and clean architecture as the foundation for complex AI systems.
• 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠: You aren't afraid to get your hands dirty with "ugly" legacy data to make it usable for our AI models.
